The reason for our name, “Plum Lake Station” Resort Homes LLC, is…
...the location of the old Plum Lake Station railroad depot in the middle of the property. The railroad dropped resort guests at this depot until 1946 when the railroad discontinued the spur into Plum Lake. (Lake resort owners would boat here to pick up their guests.) From here the train ran to Star Lake and then on to Boulder Jct. Pretty cool when you think about it. Listen closely and you might still hear the train whistle - really! We have done our best to preserve the depot right down to the initials carved into the wooden walls. The private gravel road that runs south out of the property called Depot Dr. is the original railroad grade.
